My name is Janet Cassarino, and I am a Catholic wife and mother of eleven; six entrusted to us here on Earth, and five beautiful souls in heaven. My husband and I have been married for twenty-one years! We live in an old house on a postage stamp piece of property in Vermont that I’m trying my hardest to turn into an “urban” homestead. Urban is used very loosely here as our small town barely passes for a city.
I love teaching and homeschooling. After a fifteen year career in traditional education, I left to become a full time wife and mother. Homeschooling is fun, and I have to say, I do NOT miss school drop off and pick up lines!
I’m a Catholic convert, having joined the Church at the Easter vigil in 2012. I love being Catholic and being part of the Church founded by Jesus himself. Our family is truly blessed.
What does Catholic 251 Mean?
The 251 Club is an organization that was founded in 1954 for people who want to explore the beautiful Green Mountain State and visit all 251 towns in Vermont. Our family’s objective is a bit nuanced though. We are going to try to visit Catholic sites in as many of the towns as we can!
